It doesn't take a Stanford Prison Experiment to figure this out.

I wonder why teachers become what they are in the first place. Overheard in some lecture, "those who can't do, teach". It's quite true, isn't it? If you're so good with science, for example, why be a teacher? Okay granted there are some people whose ambition is to become a teacher. Probably cause it's the only job whereby you can boss people around even at the lowest rank.

But then it doesn't mean they can be rude, can they? Today I had this most unpleasurable experience of meeting with this anal-retentive teacher who was just obnoxious. I've met with trouble with disciplinarians more often than not over my hair, but the teacher I bumped into today was plain rude!

Gargh! I hate my school. 3 months seem like a long time when you're stuck in a shithole like that.

Gotta get going now. Have Bio to do and an effigy to whack.

PowerBook down, again

Won't be having new comics for a couple of days it seems, since my PowerBook has some problems, again, and I have no Photoshop on my PC.

I just watched Underworld, on DVD, and it's a pretty good movie although the directing sucks and the story might seem convoluted. I like complicated storylines, but in this movie, the plot was quite clear cut, just that bad directing probably made it messier than it is. Anyway I want to watch Underworld: Evolution!

The Underworld movies were quite irritating, for people of my age. In 2003 the first movie was NC16, and most of the 1988 babies were barely 16 yet, and thus could not catch it. Then this year they had Evolution, and it was M18! I expect the upcoming sequal to be released 3 years later at R21.

Argh have to send my PowerBook to servicing again, third time this month. Could be a sign that I need to get a new Mac... Mac Pro! Haha the most spec-ed out Mac Pro costs a cool S$26,000 and that's not even considering the cost of a few more 30-inch monitors which it can support. 2x Dual-Core Xeon 3.0Ghz, 16GB of RAM, 2 TB (yes that's 2000 GIGABYTES) of HDD space...

Yes it's every geek's wet dream.

Irritating. Why must the PowerBook spoil now when I want to upgrade my room? Minor upgrade this time. When I grow up I'd probably spend thousands on home theatre systems.

That is, if I can good grades for A Levels and get a good job. Bleh, logical fallcy.
<img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/24581102-115544832764610900?l=gathering-wool.blogspot.com' I bet it will want to know my game library since it worships me much. Anyway today's PE was kinda wasted. Didn't manage to stay in the hall. Could use with some laughs.

Brain Age is a cool game. That is, if you could call it a game. It offers a range of tests that analyses the age of your brain. Then there are all kinds of little brain exercises that you can do. You'd find yourself playing this, or rather, training your brain a few minutes each day. It is surprisingly addictive.

It is also the perfect excuse for your parents for buying a DS Lite. Not that I'm going to tell my mum anytime soon. If she knows there's Sudoku on this my DS Lite will become like my PSP!

Viewtiful Joe. It's a weird game. I've never played the GameCube version so I don't really know what to expect. From the minutes I spent on this game, I know it's a side-scrolling beat 'em up game, but I can't really see what's the appeal of this. To be fair I'll give it a bit more time before passing judgment.

Now Nintendogs is the game that scores huge points with girls. Not that guys can't enjoy it. A cute puppy that never grows up or give you problems like cleaning after it, it's perfect for irresponsible pet owners everywhere! You can do stuff like teach the dog tricks via the voice recognition. It's appealing at first, but I figure that it'll get boring after some time.

Nevertheless still good to get people interested in the DS Lite as it's quite useful to showcase the DS's abilities such as voice and touchscreen controls.

I liked Top Spin for the Xbox. Top Spin 2 for Xbox 360 is 'bout the same thing, so I didn't really bother with it. The DS version is absolute crap. Get Virtua Tennis for the PSP instead. The framerate seems sluggish, and the gameplay is boring.

This is a quirky, fun game. It's one of those games where you don't have a specific goal, but just play the game for fun. Animal Crossing puts you in this little town whereby you can spend hours decorating and do chores like fishing or running errands for people. It's like Harvest Moon without the farming. It's unique as things in the game happen in real-time, that is, when you play at 11PM, the skies are dark and the shops are closed. Certain events will happen in the morning and some at night. There are even different seasons for different times of the year.

In short, it's a game that's designed to keep you playing for months.

Feeling kinda tired from playing whole day today. It's finally the weekends. Ugh blogging at night makes my posts appear incoherent... Shall write up more mini-reviews of other games that I have.

Anyway, New Super Mario Bros. is probably one of the best games I've played in a while. Not only is the single-player mode immensely fun and addictive, the multiplayer minigames and Mario VS Luigi are extremely insane. My friend and I were laughing our heads off in Burger King while playing. It is splendid. Just as I anticpiated in my blog a few months ago.

Naturally the hippopotamus got it. Don't know how it can live with itself. If I were it I wouldn't last 5 minutes from when I wake up, because I'll have to wake up, brush teeth and see my reflection in the mirror. Wah lau I think that's quite sad. Very disturbing to think of also. At least it's lucky cause as long as it doesn't look into the mirror, the ones that suffer are the ones who see him on an almost daily basis. I was prepared that HC will have very few eye-candies, but this is just torture for the eyes. Sigh.

Wiiiiiiii

I've got screwed up priorities.

Instead of worrying that there's a Bio test tomorrow that I'll flunk even worse than my BT2 since I found my notes at only 10.30PM and have since slacked all the way till now (throw in a couple of online Mario Kart games... which I LOST! Man can go and die liao la suck at gaming and studies. To my credit it was the first time I was playing that game. I have too many games liao la haha), I get frustrated over all the details that really are super bo liao.

Like, I still think that it's such a bad thing that electronics come in black and white. Choose which one? Now that I've got a white DS Lite I think I should have gone for the black one instead. Then I will observe the scratches I made recently to my nice PowerBook, even though it wouldn't be obvious to other people... And I will wonder when will a phone that fits my needs come along. I want stuff like a touchscreen, WiFi and a nice camera... And of course it must be uncommon.

Then again the shameless hippopotamus will probably buy the same phone la. I think it's damn rich la. Probably cause it eat less so it can save on A LOT of money, I reckon. But too bad fat heads remain bout the same size la. Look at Olinda! Haha. What a waste since it should be able to reduce its head size to more accurately reflect its brainlessness.

Aiya even its "lovely clique" thinks that it is hippopotamus see hippopotamus do la. Anyway the last time I checked the dictionary, clique means an exclusive group of friends leh. More like it's being excluded la, haha.

Oh, as per title.

Wii Wii Wii Wii Wii...

If this comes out before A Levels I am dead.

Fanboyism

Fanboy or fanboi is a term used to describe an individual (usually male, though the feminine version fangirl may be used for females) who is utterly devoted to a single subject or hobby, often to the point where it is considered an obsession. - WikiPedia article on "Fanboy"

I declare myself a Nintendo fanboy! The DS Lite is the chioest game console I've ever seen, the GameBoy Micro is damn cute, and the Nintendo Wii is plain sexy.

I'd love to see Apple merge with Nintendo so I can just worship one single entity and sell my soul to it! There's no such thing as social cohesion in Singapore anyway. You have the Christians calling the police over a few cartoons on a guy's blog on grounds of Sedition while it's perfectly alright for homophobic hate speech to be posted all over in forums without moderation.

But well it's Jong's day, since he's half Malay and Indian. That's harmony right there. Well until Tiffany crossed arms with the other guy during the fashion show during CT session of course. I think he knocked that guy out using his big-ass camera afterwards.

Anyway it was fun today! I love Fridays. The only thing to worry about is staying awake during 1.5 hours of Biology lecture. <s>Mrs..</s> The lecturer dared us to sleep during her lecture, and I did! In fact I sleep during her lectures all the time.. She does a good job with intimidation, but carrying out threats is another matter. Expert sleepers don't get caught.

1.5 hours of Maths lecture is another one and a half hours to catch up on sleep! Then we had PE where Shuli ran 2.4 and passed! She even lapped the ignoramus by 2 rounds. See what I mean when I said no balls? Let's repeat that for good meausre - No balls. Shuli was great cause she kept running even though she was very tired. Then Chen Lu provided a driving factor by being Pacman and threatening to eat Shuli. Priscilla was being a cheerleader, again. Someone need to pass her pom-poms.

Lalalala life is wonderful! I want more music! Let's fill the 30GB sucker up till the next iPod arrives from the living god Steve Jobs!

Haha blogging at midnight makes me a little high.
